The Meaning of Tirtha

तीर्थ · tīrtha

Tirtha is a Sanskrit word meaning “crossing place” or “ford.”

A sacred place that acts as a spiritual bridge between the earthly realm and the divine.

Perhaps where heaven meets earth.

At Tirtha, we create an environment for women to cross from where they are into what is

next for them to create.

A place to connect with themselves, access their creative authority and bring their

unique vision into the world.

Why Tirtha Exists

Our founder, Joh Morris Benichou, has spent more than three decades developing tens of thousands of people around the world, from entrepreneurs to senior executives.

Personally trained by Werner Erhard, Joh is a certified and designated Global Forum Leader with Landmark Worldwide, one of only 35 people worldwide to have held this distinction, bringing a rare depth of experience in creating transformation with people, live and in real time.

After years of developing others, Joh experienced burnout herself.

Through her own transformation, she discovered something that would change the direction

of her life's work.​

Her battery wasn't dead.

She had become disconnected from her own life force as a woman who creates.

​

She knew how to lead, perform and produce results at an exceptionally high level.

But somewhere along the way, her own well-being and the life she wanted to create had become secondary to her performance.

She began by recognizing that she needed space to be.

To reconnect with herself and discover what was essential to her own well-being,

not simply to recover, but to have the capacity to ongoingly create.

What began as her own transformation became a new body of work,

which she has shared with hundreds of women over the past six years.

Through this work, a new inquiry emerged.

What if transformation wasn't about continually working on ourselves or becoming someone else?

What if we could reconnect with the intelligence already available to us and develop our capacity to

create with it?​

That inquiry led Joh to create Sensory Leadership™ — bringing together transformation, leadership, business performance and the sensory intelligence women already possess.
